Maneuvering Through the
Un-Chartered Waters of Grief:
Moving from Mourning to Ministering (c)
Third Annual Grief and Loss Discipleship Process Training
March 4-8, 2011
Headquarters for Go Fish!
Greenville, South Carolina
3-5 day training event
The Go Fish! faculty is pleased to announce that due to the positive response from our grief coaches and pastors, our third year of grief training will be expanded. Not only will we be offering the "basic" grief training, and Grief Rite Bible study training we have offered in the past, we will also be offering advanced grief and loss electives. Be sure to let us know if you are interrested in learning more about the advanced courses in grief. Listed below is the description of the "basic" grief training and Bible study.
Join the Go Fish Faculty (http://www.gofishnow.com) for this exciting, break-through Grief Training. The Grief Facilitation discipleship processSM, created by Master Instructors, Susan Singleton, J.D., and Kathryn McColskey, Ph.D., is a remarkable tool that is based upon the premise that persons who have lost a loved one benefit from participating in a personalized, private facilitation 8 months to a year or more after the death of their loved one. As a result, McColskey and Singleton have designed an interactive computer template or hardcopy text, to be used by a trained facilitator who guides a person who is grieving through the 5-6 hour, Bible-based process in a "day away" event or in 5-6 one hour "consecutive sessions" format. (Perfect tool for counselors, coaches, and Stephen Ministers.) This one-to-one discipleship processSM uses a series of grief Scriptures as the focal point for a question/answer/reflective dialogue between the participant and facilitator. Through this process the participant is empowered to discover the Scripture's relevance to their personal grief event, and realize the ways God brings hope and healing in this season in their life.

I am so excited to visit North Carolina and be a part of the Grief Training event!
sounds like a great opportunity! Since I took the training in Colorado, I have seen lives changed by walking alongside them through the grief facilitation.
