The many forms of grief and loss

Whe people think of grief, they usually think about the death of a loved one. While this is the most universal form of grief, since most persons who live any lenght of time will experience it often in a life time; there are many life experiences that cause a person to grieve and many forms of loss. Persons can grieve a loss of innocence, the loss of a dream, the loss of a relationship, the loss of a close friendship when someone moves far away. Persons can grieve their career when they are laid off or retire. At the third Annual Grief and Loss Conference, we will be talking about some of the grief and loss people experience and share tools to minister to persons "living" through loss. What forms of loss have been the most dificult for you? What emotions did you grapple with most? Let's start a dialog.
